What can a website do for me?

There is no precise answer to this question. There can be a hundred reasons to have a website, and a few important once might be the the following.

First a website can reach millions of people that might not otherwise be available. Second, customers can view products, services, or whatever you want to share from the comfort of their own home. No matter what type of business you are in, there are ways to grow and make money on the web for you.

What is the difference between a “static” and a “dynamic” site?

A static site is one that is written in HTML only. Each page is a separate document and there is no database that it draws on. What this means functionally is that the only way to edit the site is to go into each page and edit the HTML - so you'd either have to do it yourself using a webpage editor like FrontPage or pay the Designing company to go in and edit the site each time you wanted something changed.

A dynamic site is written using more complex code and can do a lot more. For instance, we can create a log in box through which one can change various parts of the site after he has signed in, such as adding information or products. This is because each page is constructed based on the information in a database, and the information in that database can be changed via another interface.

The dynamic sites usually cost more to develop, as they require more complex coding and a content management utility needs to be developed to help you manage your website information. But in the long run dynamic sites are cost effective and easy to maintain.

Another benefit of dynamic sites is that they allow you to change only the content of the site and not the design, so you will not be able to accidentally break the visual style of the site. They have other benefits when sites start to get very large, as they make data management much more efficient and your site more expandable.

Many clients do a combination, having some dynamic areas such as a product catalog where they have to change information or pictures regularly, and leave other pages such as contact information as static pages.

Why does it matter how it looks as long as it works?

Looks does matter in case of websites, as, a visitor to your site will instantly percieve the quality of your services or products. A visitor will be interested and explore your site if it is appealing and easy to navigate. You are marketing yourself and your business to the world over the Internet and it is important to show your best.

How do I explain what I want for my website, logo or brochure design?

Plasma Interactive makes this process as easy as 1.2.3. We have a very easy interactive process to collect all the information about your preferences as far as look and feel or functionality is concerned. Our friendly account managers can help and guide you through the whole process.

A bad website can compromise your business:

1. A site with bad graphic design is often the first impression someone will have of your firm. You may have a nice sign, a pleasant reception area, perhaps your employees dress professionally. But if a visitor goes to your Website first, they won't see any of it.

2. A site with text that is dated, at best, lets people know you don't keep things up do date. At worst it may continue to promote an image or message that you no longer wish to present.

3. A site with bad functionality can drive a visitor away in frustration. It's unlikely the visitor will come back, either to your Website or to your office. Broken links, images that never load, forms that ask for information but don't deliver, back-buttons that won't go back, all cause people to click away as quick as they can.

4. A website that makes promises will cause great problems if you don't deliver. Do you offer products, mailings, or newsletters? Do your promise information, instructions, prices, or answers to great questions? If you do, and people come to your site and navigate, register, or order, then you will look bad if you don't deliver.

Are there any hidden charges for your website design or optimization services?

No! Once we have all the information about your requirements you will be given a price and that price will stand firm for both the website design and the optimization, if required. The only time a given price would change is if you want another page or any other material added before completion of the website.

Can I see the design while my website is under development?

Yes! Once the design for the main page has been completed it will be uploaded to our server for your approval. After approval the rest of website will be developed.

Why can't I find my web site in the search engines?

It is not in a day that a site starts appearing in search engines. It takes a lot of time and effort to be anywhere in the search engines. Once your site has been properly optimized and submitted to the top Search Engines they may require several weeks, or even months to actually spider and list your web site in their directory. Also a lot depend on the type of keywords you are targeting. The site will take a lot more time if targeting a highly competitive keyword in camparison to a regular KW. How fast your site is listed depends on each individual Search Engines database update schedule. Watch your server traffic logs for visiting spiders.

How will the files be delivered to me on completion of my project?

Depending on the type of project, either the electronic copy of the project in desired format is sent to the customer or uploaded at the hosting server on the internet.
